Sky Notations & Object Imprints

Sky Notations and Object Imprints is an iterative collection of image, text, and paper objects. At it’s center is a photographic record of the sky and the ground, localized records along the interstate highway in Southeast Ohio paired with archival and personal texts. A developing notion of a highly subjective & territorial surveillance — exploring the ways in which photographs and text illuminate, confound, and dissect “place” in what is often considered non-place.

30″x40″ each frame
pigment prints, cyanotype prints, silver gelatin prints, screen printed texts.

Embrace the periphery.

The center is the edge. The edge, central to the peripheral, ephemeral experiences of being in ones body in a geographical place, ground-sky handshake. A wink. A nod to the overlap of photographic image and descriptive text.
