SKY NOTATIONS
& OBJECT IMPRINTS [2022-2023]

An iterative collection of image, text, and paper objects. At it’s center is a photographic record of the sky and the ground, localized records along the interstate highway.

GLASSLAND, COMMONS [2020-ongoing]

Poetic combinations of images & text, produced through hand-eye exercises. Inserting a myriad of glass objects to replace a standard camera lens, I spread light across the landscape for an intimate documentation. Some site specific, some temporary, some through unrecorded movements and touch.

TRACED HOUSES [2019]

An artist book in the form of a newspaper, with pencil, crayon and tape, and a selection of latex house paints in polaroid-color-matched palette. A record marking the present time as already bygone era.

EGRESS [2015]

Combining video, sound, image and text, EGRESS uses exploration of rural highway space as a vehicle to relay shifting psychological states of the human condition. The word “egress” is a means of exit, a way out, a chance for escape. The work doubles as a way in, a means of entrance — a chance for engagement.

PRECARIOUS PLACES [2015]

The limited access highway system plays a ubiquitous function in activating experiences of both the mundane and the exceptional. This conduit architecture is designed for efficiency and industry rather than geographic awareness and sensitivity to place.

GROUNDED [2008]

The images from GROUNDED are both real and imaginary, existing along the line between the seen and unseen, the mythologized and the hidden.
